BLAH!

after taking an art class in college, i realized that i really want to keep drawing. i haven't oekakied in a while, but i finally signed up for a new account on niko's pchat. so maybe soon? i dunno, i don't really feel like oekaki is my forte (it never has been) anymore. especially since i use a laptop now and it's just a touch pad (no mouse & tablet = more fail). i'm doing more traditional art nowadays anyway.

i dunno, i'm gonna try and get better at drawing in general. just when i think i'm making some progress, i come back to DA and see all these wonderful aspiring artists who are churning out beautiful works of art at the age of 16. i get kind of annoyed with myself. but whatever.

artists who have developed their own style on DA and have developed their own original characters, i tend to pay more attention to than the ones who solely draw fan art in the same generic anime style. i dunno, just a preference i guess.

mmm anyways.

IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK

lately i've been pretty inspired by:
- architecture, namely the candy colored buildings in moscow
- skeletons, humans and fish
- anatomy of humans, muscles, joints.
- men in suits. the industrial, i-have-my-shit-together look.
- how a slurge of different colors can work so well together. AKA asking myself how i can portray the act of vomiting a rainbow. the before & after.

yes so there you go. it might be a bit strange, but that's how i roll.

PS: i looked back at my old journals & art and i find 90% of it is pretty much embarrassing. however, the only thing that's keeping me from deleting it all is because i'm the sentimental type and i like to look back and reflect and see how stupid i was back then. especially in my journals. ohmygod i was so lame.
